The little devil looks real. Fortunately, it is only seven inches tall so that while it makes a great addition to your collection of ghouls and monsters, the NECA Resident Evil Archives Series 1 Action Figure Zombie with Dog will not truly scare you.
NECA did a good job with the texture of the zombie’s exposed flesh on its head and face as well as its arms. Its skin is furrowed making it look like it has shriveled from want of blood and other body fluids. It barely clings to the skull and facial bones, and in fact, its cheeks are almost decomposed and gone. The eyes have turned into white marbles having lost their irises and pupils, leaving only the sclera. With a mouth that is agape, a row of sharp pointed teeth is revealed, which look more like shark teeth than human, perhaps sharpened by chewing on human flesh and bones.
This zombie wears a suit. Tattered and frayed, yet still a suit. Its left arm dangles out the shortened sleeve, with a huge gash on it. A lot of flesh seems to have been lost here, and the bones are almost out. It’s not wearing a tie, though. In its place are bloodstains on the white shirt. The pants’ legs have receded up to its shins exposing legs with a few cuts and wounds.
Accompanying the zombie is its pet Doberman pinscher. Of course it is also a zombie with plenty of its flesh rotted away baring its rib cage, dermis, and hypodermis.
The neck and shoulders of the zombie has ball joints allowing them to turn, while its left wrist and waist have swivel joints. Its right forearm is removable. You can take it off and have its pet Doberman bite it on its movable jaw. The left hand and arm can also be detached. While the zombie stands on a black base, the Doberman manages to stay upright on three legs.
